Two words - heated pockets. OK, review done and we can all go home. Seriously, what a great idea! This new and improved heated jacket from Milwaukee is the perfect example of how a company that pioneered the heated jacket line is striving to stay ahead of the curve - and the competition.

Of course, there's not a heated jacket in the world you'd want to wear if it wasn't comfortable. To that end, the lining of the Milwaukee jacket is soft and plush, much like the lining of a sweatshirt. It's very comfortable, most importantly around the neck and collar - no chafing here.
The cinching waist is another great way to keep the cold out. The easily-operated elastic cord pulls the bottom of the jacket in tight to your body to keep out those nasty drafts!
And added some nice new features that make this jacket even "hotter".
Hand Warmers
Now, in addition to to the front and back zones, your hands can stay toasty warm inside the jacket's pockets. There's a separate button for the hand warmers that operates in the same way as the jacket button.
Naturally, this will cause additional draw on the battery, so we'd suggest getting an extra power cell, just to have one standing by and charged.
USB Power Port
Another nice touch is the addition of a USB power jack on the battery adapter. You can charge your cell, mp3 player, etc. There is a nice routing path for the USB cord inside the jacket, so it's tucked out of the way and out of sight.
Milwaukee 2345L Heated Jacket Opinion
I liked the original heated jacket and discovered during that testing, the importance of getting the right size. Too large, and you won't get the full benefit of the heating elements. Too small, and well...it's just too small and uncomfortable. At 6'3" and 215, the large fits me just about perfectly, while the XL is a bit too big. Keep that in mind when ordering online.
Overall, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the performance of this jacket. But again, do yourself a favor and buy an extra battery. On the lowest setting for the jacket only, you can get better than 6 hours of heat, but on the highest setting, with the addition of the hand warmers, you're likely to get less than 3. Granted, those will be 3 nice and toasty hours, but you'll want more, so have that spare battery standing at the ready.
With that said, Milwaukee has outdone themselves with the latest features on this already legendary jacket. I wondered why it took the other tool companies so long to come out with their own. Stand by for those reviews, as well.
