A fiberglass splinter can be painful, to say the least, and one of the biggest complaints from electricians using wire pulling rods is the fact that they get so many splinters from those that abrade easily. In response, Klein has introduced Splinter Guard Fish and Glow Rods. These wire pullers incorporate all the handy features that make Klein Tools the go-to brand for electricians, and add an additional safety feature - a special coating on the rods that help prevent abrasion from sharp edges on electrical boxes and other objects.

This is a great idea, a long time in coming. Combine Klein Tools' reputation for quality and innovation with the no-brainer features on this glow rod set, and you have a winner. At an MSRP of around $50 (we found it lower in some places), the Spinter-Guard "insurance policy" is a lot cheaper (and less painful) than a fiberglass splinter or trip to the ER. Thumbs-up and hats off to Klein to for this tool.
