The FLIR booth is always an interesting visit at the Consumer Electronics Show. This year was no exception, as we got a look at their new iSeries Thermal Cameras. It's a pretty impressive lineup with 3 different models from which to choose.

Thermal Imaging Camera Uses

Imaging devices like these are often used by maintenance professionals, home inspectors, and tradesman for spotting a variety of problems and needed repairs in structures. Using temperature fluctuations in walls, rooms and spaces can reveal overheated electrical circuits, mechanical problems, moisture damage and other possible trouble spots not seen with the naked eye.

We were impressed with the quality of the displayed image on each unit. Resolution differs on each model, from 3600 pixels in the i3 to over 19,000 pixels in the i7 model. Of course, they're priced accordingly, but the bottom line is that these tools are just fun to use.
