Tool Skool just got back from attending the Bosch Innovation Experience which is the event held to show the media all the new cool tools that Bosch has coming out over the next few months. If you want to read the overview of what we saw: CLICK HERE. One of the tools that was featured is the brand new, just out in February of 2014 Bosch Brushless Socket Ready Impact Driver. So we asked Bosch if they would be willing to partner with us to give one of these away (with battery and charger) to a lucky newsletter subscriber. Features of the Bosch IDH182 18V Brushless Socket Ready Impact Driver:
There are a lot of things that set this tool apart from other impact drivers and here are few examples:
- You'll notice in the picture above the all-in-one tool holder. It combines a 1/4" hex and a 1/2" drive into one. This is designed for pros who have to carry both an impact driver and impact wrench. With this feature, many of those pros can use this for both applications, eliminating the need to carry booth tools. It also gets rid of the need for fragile socket adapters.
- Bosch has equipped this impact driver with something they call "Bosch Performance Control System" which is a feature that allows for on the fly adjustment of speed and torque. There's a button on the base of the tool that makes this step quick and simple.
- The IDH182 has the EC brushless motor. Brushless motors provide longer life of the tool, while giving the user more runtime and better performance.
- Even with these features, the Bosch IDH182 still has one of the smallest grips of any impact driver on the market.
- 3 LED lights light up the work area and minimize shadows.
- The IDH182 features Bosch's Flexible Power System, which means the impact driver is compatible with all of the Bosch 18V which means you can use this tool with any of the Bosch 18V Lithium Ion batteries.
