Review of the DEWALT Ratcheting T Handle Set (DHWHT70265)
Rick Allen here from ToolSkool's Southern and Eastern Command, today I am reviewing DEWALTS DHWHT70265 - 31 piece Ratcheting T Handle Set. Now normally I will repeat the official title of the tool throughout the review, but this one is a bit of a tongue twister, so assuming it's okay with you that I just say T-Handle Set, so here we go.
Initial Thoughts:
I removed the tool from the packaging and immediately noticed a familiar yellow DEWALT case. It's similar to cases we are used to having in our tool boxes and those always get additional use after the bits are long gone. It's a good sturdy case, but with one additional function, all the brackets that hold the drivers and bits inside are adjustable, so there is some flexibility with the set up of the case. Moving the brackets was a bit awkward at first, but I will have to admit that most likely was operator error. After just a bit, I got the hang of it.

My thoughts on the features:
I was impressed with the design of the T Handle Holder in the case. If feels like it held it securely in place with two plastic pins to really grab it.
The T Handle
The T Handle itself feels solid and has a magnetic bit holder and is equipped with an additional built-in side bit holder which is very handy when swapping between Phillips and Flat Bits for example.
The longer bits have additional locking brackets to keep them tightly secure when bouncing around in a tool box. And you will find that they come in quite handy for tight or just plain tricky-to-reach spots.
This set seems to cover a lot of bases for a 31 PC Set, it comes with High Impact Storage Case, Heavy Duty Ratchet, Magnetic Bit Holder, Side Bit Holder and includes MM, SAE HEX KEYS, PHILLIPS AND FLAT KEYS. One thing to note is that there are NO Torx (or star bits as they are sometimes called). I read a couple of reviews where people griped about that, and with good reason if you are expecting them to be in the set. Just so you know. They are not.
Final thoughts:
Once again DEWALT stands behind this product with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. I like this tool, and I know I will find many uses for it. This set will make it to my tool box as a keeper!
