Bostitch® Introduces a New Line of Mechanics Tools

NEW YORK CITY, NY – August 21, 2013 - Bostitch® announced today the introduction of a new line of mechanics tools including ratchets, a variety of wrench styles, sets and accessories. Director of Product Management Rob Kamieniarz said, “We are proud to introduce an extensive range of mechanics tools that continues to expand our line of professional Bostitch® tools. Whether you’re working on cars in the garage or headed to the jobsite, we know end users are looking for long lasting tools that are available at an affordable price.” Made from chrome vanadium steel for durability these tools come complete with the Bostitch® Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Ratchets:
Available in three sizes – 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive – the new Bostitch® standard ratchets feature a slim head design and only 5 degrees of arc swing for maneuverability in confined areas. The chrome vanadium steel construction delivers strength and durability in tough jobsite conditions. On each, the 72-tooth gear system delivers high torque ratcheting, while the low profile directional lever allows for quick one-hand operation. The handles are ergonomically designed for user comfort. Built to the same specifications as the standard ratchets, specialty ratchets are also available including a 3/8 inch drive flex-head ratchet which locks into six different positions, allowing for greater access to fasteners than a standard ratchet. A ratcheting breaker bar is also available, ideal for when leverage is needed.
Wrenches:
Available in both SAE and metric, Bostitch® wrenches are available in Combination, Ratcheting, and Flex Head Ratcheting styles and feature a long panel design for torque. The open end features anti-slip design technology creating greater contact area against the fastener than standard wrenches.
The 15 degree offset box end features the Max-Drive design allowing for 15% more max torque* and helps to reduce fastener rounding. The high quality chrome vanadium steel forged body provides the user with torque, strength, and durability. All of the new wrenches come complete with a convenient storage rack for set containment, easy organization, and tool protection.
Socket Sets:
The new socket sets are available in different sizes and six configurations – 105, 174, 246, 318, and 398 piece count sets, as well as an 82 piece count Spline set. Bostitch® sockets are made from premium chrome vanadium steel for strength and durability. They feature a durable stamped size marking for easy identification, and stamped anti-slip rings provide grip for easy removal. The 318 and 398 piece count sets will be sold in trays for easy storage and organization in shop cabinets, while lower piece count sets are available in heavy-duty blow-molded cases. The spline sockets accept multiple fastener types for convenience, including hex, square, 12-point, external Torx®, and even rounded fasteners.
T-Handle Set:
The unique 21 piece T-Handle set – model BTMT72274 - allows users to deliver up to 400 inch-pounds of max torque. The handle is ergonomically contoured to provide a comfortable grip. The handle accepts 1/4 inch drive bits for quick and easy bit changes. The set comes with 20 bits of various lengths and styles. The BTMT72274 comes in a convenient blow-molded case for easy storage.
Bit Wrench Set:
The 32 piece bit wrench set – model BTMT72275 – features a bit wrench with reverse ratcheting functionality for use in constricted areas. The wrench features a 72-tooth gear system that needs only 5 degrees of arc swing to operate and is constructed of chrome vanadium steel for strength. The case features a belt clip for quick access.
Accessories:
Bostitch® mechanics tools will also include a line of accessories. Extensions bar sets – models BTMT72276, BTMT72277, and BTMT72278 – available in three sizes: 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch drives, and each set will contain three different length bars. Each bar is constructed of chrome vanadium steel and has anti-slip rings for easy removal. Three universal joint/adapter sets – models BTMT72279, BTMT72280, and BTMT72281 – available in three sizes 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch. They will also be chrome vanadium and feature anti-slip rings.
